“Caring for Substance Exposed Infants and Their Families”

This two-hour workshop is for anyone working with infants and their families including nurses, home visitors, and those in early childhood and family support fields. The Special Care Nursery Team will present on caring for opiate and other substance exposed infants and how to best support their families. In this workshop participants will learn how exposure to substances affects infants and their families. Interventions on how best to support recovery and healing will be presented, and community resources will be discussed.
